Got peaches?
How is the Colorado peach crop this year?
I do miss those massive, mouthwatering peaches from the Western Slope.
I am even seriously considering asking my brother to send some out to me.

We're on the Western Slope and yes, the peaches are marvelous this year. Tell your brother to ship them overnight express!

According to a friend of mine who lives in Palisade, it's gonna be a good one! I'll be hitting the stands for them in a couple weeks.

Don't forget the cantaloupes, either.
The first of the season's Rocky Ford melons have arrived in front range grocery stores this week; the melons are good. . .

...and the Olathe sweet corn. Ate four ears last night. Delicious! We're going to buy a few flats of those peaches soon as we do during good years. Peach daiquiris, peaches a la mode, or just a plain old peach! We usually can about half of them.

I love peaches from Palisade!! They are the best!!
My family (in Florida and Georgia) says that their peaches aren't as good as here!! I agree!!

Hadn't heard about the area being famous for peaches! We will definitely go to the Peach Festival on the 16th. So - any tips for freezing/canning???
