Question Colorado's school systems??????

Hi, just checking into Colorado's school system, here in Minnesota we do not pay for books, school supplies yes, we have no hidden cost other then for milk money, lunch money, and little field trips.
We were planning on moving out there this summer, and have a 12 year old going into 7th grade, and we were wondering what anyone could tell us, as far as her getting settled in. Thank you for your help. Yorkie

You don't usually pay for books here, at least that is my experience in the Boulder Valley School District. Sometimes you are asked to pay for workbooks, and sometimes for textbooks in high school Advanced Placement classes, but then you get to keep the books. You do have to buy school supplies including calculators, notebooks, pens, pencils, what have you. It's usually a long list. Some classes in middle school and high school have materials fees.
