I didn't have any problems on the railway. It did get a little cool, especially when we stopped at Windy Point where the old stone building is and I did feel the air getting dryer as we climbed but no sinus problems.

We have an invitation to house sit in Colorado Springs for a week in February. If we do, I'd love to take the railway up again then. I'm not sure what we'd find to do in Springs for a week though.
You might find yourself either going to Denver or up to the mountains. There isn't as much to do in the Springs, but be sure to check out Garden of the Gods if you haven't done so already.

Yeah the main focus of our relocation plans is the Denver area. Colorado Springs is a second choice should my wife luck into a good paying job down there. The people that own the house in Springs would love for us to move there instead of Denver but I think Springs might be just a bit small for us, especially coming from SoCal. When we were there in February, we took a quick drive through Garden of the Gods so I'm sure there's lots of it we didn't see.

Yeah, the Springs was too small for me (remember I'm from So. Calif. too ); it has become one of my least favorite cities/towns in the world. I can't find too many redeeming qualities of it, except for the beauty and Pikes Peak. It's hard for me to appreciate the Springs when Denver is only an hour away. But hey, it works for some people.

I get the feeling Springs is a place that a lot of people want to move to, thinking its a great place to raise kids. Then those kids hit about 14 and can't wait to get the heck out and move to a big city somewhere. Denver should be big/small enough to satisfy everyone.
