I only apologized because I did make assumptions about you because of the way I interpreted what you wrote. Since I don't know you, I may have misinterpreted your words. The other three sentences you refer to were not to justify my opinion but rather, to try to show you that you were unwittingly doing the same thing about me........assuming. Originally your words indicated that you felt I was "angry" about someone mistreating their animals. The word I would use is probably saddened, irritated is more how I feel about you at this moment. I don't know if you are just trying to get a rise out of me or that you are just and argumentative person. Either way, I have nothing further to say to you on the issue.

I have a huge problem with people that tie up their dogs non stop. IT's a member of your family, not a living lawn ornament.
I sleep with my dog every night, and occasionally, 2 other huge Akita's when I sleep at my GF's house. I can't understand why someone would banish their dog to the yard.

Seriously!!! I feel the same way. What a great summation of this issue.
I would be more apt to hop the fence, slice the rope and take the golden home with me!!!!!!
(Yeah, I know, I'm bad.)

You're not bad, if my old butt could hop the fence, I would too. But I'd have to walk around and then probably get caught.

When I lived in another state the animal control person told me to try to "steal" the abused puppy who was being handled too roughly by young children.
I would try to keep my eyes and ears open for the neighbor's other dog.

You let your dog sleep on the bed? Ewww! Don't you know that undermines your authority in the house as master? Especially if it's a male dog. Not to mention what the dander may be doing to your sinuses.

Actually, I think the Dog is dead already. And the neighbors are rednecks. Isn't that what the OP was about?
