A native's curiosity
Hey, been living here my whole life, wondering if i could get some insight from people that have been here longer than me that know of these things.
Georgetown has the record for snowfall in a calendar day at ~63 inches in 1913. Anybody ever heard stories of that, what it was like, aftermath, the strength of the storm, etc?
What about the legendary snowfall at silver lake? 87 inches from april 14th at 2 pm to april 15 at 6pm, this was in 1921.
I've also heard theres some parts of the state that nobody has ever seen, I know these places are shrinking, as roads, outdoor lifestyle gets a chokehold on that, but I'm wondering what area's might have these locations? The most rugged, inaccessible areas. curiosity.
-61 F. in maybell, this was in 1985, stories?
Im a definite winter/wilderness person, interested in reading any storys of that kind, even your own adventures. Thanks.
