Default Relocating from MI to Glenwood Springs area

I am having such a difficult time locating a place to rent in the Glenwood area just becauseI have a cat! Any advice to share? She is a well behaved cat and I can't "sneak" her in because she loves to sit in windows. I'll be working in the Basalt area but would prefer to live near Glenwood. Looking to spend up to $1700 a month. ANy advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
