Default Johnstown feedback

Moving to Colorado in very near future, noticed Johnstown has some great bargains on newer homes. From small town so town size is no problem, I know to stay away from Greeley. But Johnstown seems to be an easy commute in either directions because of it's location. I would be interested in anyones thoughts? Thank you for any input.

I have a coworker who lives out there - been there a couple times. I would say that you are right about affordability. I looked to me like just a bunch of (mostly newer) houses surrounded by cornfields....not a bad place if you don't mind commuting.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm retired so commuting isn't an issue for me. More interested the the community, things well taken care of, not run down.

Thanks again

Real estate is depreciating in Weld County (which includes Johnstown) and there are many foreclosures. Long term, things will stabilize but in the short-term there's a lot of risk in buying property there.
