Default Pueblo???

Hey everyone,

My dad recently got a job in Pueblo, and we'll be moving up there in the spring. Where is a good place to live in the area? My sisters are homeschooled, so the area school quality isn't of much importance (and I'll be leaving for college next fall). They'll probably be looking in the 170K-250K price range for a home, and they typically like your standard suburban sprawl type of home. Thanks for any responses!

The price range is right. He's got the job, so it sounds like you have no worries.

Try doing an advanced serch and put my name in the poster, Pueblo in the word search, narrow the subforum to Colorado and you should see some info as to suggested places to live. I think there's only a couple or few posters on here in Pueblo or the Pueblo West area that are active now.

Good luck in your search and welcome to Southern Colorado. Check out my Pueblo Pic threads here.

McGowdog's search tips should give you loads of info...my two cents worth as a regular visitor to Pueblo for shopping: your dad's budget should buy plenty of house. Lots of room to spread out in Pueblo West w/ most areas less than 40 yrs old, con: almost desert-like pro: nice views of Pikes Peak and the Wet mts. are possible. In pueblo proper, I like the area btwn the fairgrounds and downtown, sorry I don't know name of neighborhood off-hand, but it's the one with the old Spanish street names in brown above the current names in larger green signs

Always around 100k for Pueblo proper, maybe 104K, but Pueblo West has grown to about 25,000+. Here's a site that backs that stat up. The Mesa out east of Pueblo along the Arkansas river is growing a bit too, but not like Pueblo West has.

So let's just say less than 150K if you include the whole metro area. Funny to refer to it as a Metro!
