Firearm registration?
I'm having my father ship me a few shotguns (he lives in Michigan) that I left back in home when I went off to college. Once I get them, is there anything I need to do to make them legal in Colorado? A quick google showed Colorado doesn't require registration, so do I not need to do a thing?
Thanks for any info!

Yep.....
Pilot 1 is correct. Bring your shotguns, be safe and enjoy shooting them here.

Stupid democrats in office would like that to BE a new gun control rule, but thanks to the NRA (anyone interested in joining, i'm a recruiter) You don't have to register anything but fully automatic weapons.
Just curious though, were the guns purchased in your name or your fathers?

Any firearms purchased through normal retail channels or via FFL when dealing with places like Gunbroker.com will be registered as part of the paper trail, so with that in mind...
Just hope that some unemployed sheetrocker doesn't steal your gun and go on to commit some violent act while he's tweaking on meth...'cuz if he gets caught they will trace the gun back to whoever it's registered to, whether it be in MI or CO. If the firearm isn't registered, then it's less of a hassle.

If you report your gun stolen like you damn well should, then it will clear you of any wrong doing if a criminal uses it to commit an offense.

There is no Federal or State registry in CO. However, the FFL holder is required to keep a record of the sale. Is that what you mean?

Yes, sorta...
"This licensing system is administered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. An application for an FFL is filed on ATF Form 7."
So, I'm pretty sure that means the Feds have me in a database, and can easily track me down if the day ever comes when we lose our right to keep & bear arms or if by some off chance my firearms are used to commit a crime.
