Now Minx, the lady said on the phone the snow is still patchy. I saw you are fromGrand Lake. Can u tell me, what in your experience our chances are, that the week starting dec 8th there will be enough snow to really enjoy things as horse sleigh rides and walks in snowy woods?

Cool! Hope you have a great time, and be sure to give us feedback after you've been there.

Minx, you've got me extremely jealous of the snow CO is getting this year! Even though it doesn't seem like much, we are getting skunked in the PNW. I just moved to Bend from CO, bought a season pass to Mt. Bachelor, and we've got no snow yet! I know it will come, but wishing I was in CO right now!
Thanks for sharing the photos. Winter Park/Granby is such a beautiful place in CO. For those planning vacations there, you will love it!
Another place to consider OP, is Steamboat. It's a great town too.

Well, if you're going to be in Grand Lake within the next month you must stop in at Max & T's. Excellent restaurant and bar and very good friends of ours. You will probably find us there too.
It hasen't stopped snowing for the last 2 days. Some more photos.
Cheers,
Ami & Greg
And of course our dog Jager

More photos? Yay!! I like your dog! We will stop by Max and Ts. If you see 3-4 teenagers including a tall redheaded boy and some blond girls, come say hi! It's probably us. Ha. I will remember the name Minx, that's for sure!

And if you see snowmobiles parked at the front of Max & T's you can bet Ami and I are inside....

Minx, I agree that you have a beautiful home!!!
The scenes you show in your photos are gorgeous. I guess the snow does become rather tiresome after a few months, but for those of us who spend a fortune flying back and forth to be in the snow, it's a sight to behold.
What sort of employment situation exists in the Winter Park/Granby/GrandLake/Steamboat Springs area? Are the jobs primarily seasonal and tourist related?
