Can you provide any link at all that would even predict pueblo at 300,000 in 30 years? The growth rate is just not there. Boggles my mind even reading that 600,000 number it is so ridiculous!!!

There is no link. I was talking to regional planners a few years ago and they told me that.

Edit:

I know this is not Pueblo specific but we are part of the emerging front range mega region. This map is of 2050, 10 years after what I was told Pueblo will be at in 2040, yet does fit with what the regional planners told me. If no one expected Pueblo to grow they would not include Pueblo in the mega region.

They didn't! Look at the map! The circles are on the cities that will see the most growth! No circle on Pueblo! It is in the shaded area like other area with no growth or no cities at all!

I think they just forget to put a circle for Pueblo because Pueblo's metro population already is over 150,000 people so we should get a circle now. However if you look at detailed maps of the front range growth area they always include Pueblo. However Pueblo's population, even then, will most likely be under 1 million people so the size of the circle would be the same in 2050 as it is in 2013.

I think you just forgot to engage the reality flux capacitor on your time travel delorean.

The state of COLO predicts Pueblo's population to be 226k in 2030, and if one is wildly lucky, it might hit 300k by 2040, but certainly not 600k.

BTW: The same set of data predicts El Paso County at over 800k in 2030.

I know it looks bad that I can't post the link but its from a competing site and against the rules. I really was told by regional planners that Pueblo would grow 11 times more in the next 30 years then it did in the past 50. I did the math and that is what I got.

Nothing. The only draw is less traffic out here and more laid back. But a whole lot less to do and a whole lot less to see. But from the Denver Metro all the way to about Woodmen in CoSprings, you can have it.

I can go to Denver when I really need to and can hopefully go at a time when I miss that rush hour parking lot.

Yes Co Spgs and the whole front range actually are already too big for me, my ideal town size is between 8000 - 15000, hopefully I will be able to make the move to that in the next couple of years!
