Talking Pueblo group finalizing bid for depot solar park

This was in today's Pueblo Chieftain and is continued good news for the Pueblo area. As a side note I was watching FNC this morning and they had a map of the national power grid. Pueblo and Denver are the only two cities in Colorado with both north-south and east-west lines in the national system.

"A private-public consortium looking to build a major solar power park on Pueblo Chemical Depot land will meet Friday's bid deadline for Xcel Energy, the principals said Tuesday."

Another company is moving to Pueblo related to alternative energy here is the description:

EDC Prospect #9053

We have been contacted by a company looking for a facility to lease or buy for a metal fabrication operation. The company will be a supplier for the Vestas project that will be located in Pueblo, as well as to other potential clients. They are seeking approximately 56,000 SF of space (54,000 SF of manufacturing space; 2,000 SF of office space) on approximately 7 acres of land.

Submittals are due to me at tjfields@csedc.org by Noon on Thursday, April 9th

Okay Pueblo peeps... this thread is WAY too long to find info in! Maybe you DO need a subforum!

DH has a little bit of work in Pueblo tomorrow, so we're heading down. He'll be working for an hour or so. We have a new minivan with an entertainment system, so we're taking the kids (6 & 9).

What can we do down there that we CAN'T do in Colorado Springs? Any fun suggestions for lunch... keeping in mind the kids? We do NOT want to go hiking, biking, skiing, etc.

We'll be leaving tomorrow around 9 or 10am... I'll be checking for updates from y'all! C'mon Josseppie... it's your time to SHINE!
