I really dont care for the east coast . My husband was born in brooklyn and raised on long island. He was surprised how friendly people from colorado are . What do you know about real estate, there seems to be alot of foreclosures ?
Thanks for the reply.

The housing market is though in Pueblo just as the rest of the country but we are not as bad as some places, especially on the coasts. I can give you my personal opinion but keep in mind I tend to be a optimist. Personally, I think we are close to the bottom and things will start to improve. That being said if I could tell for certain what the future held I would not be in Pueblo but on Wall Street in NYC living in a million dollar pent house! The best thing to do is call a realitor you trust if/ when you are ready and see what they say.
Another place you might want to look at is Pueblo West. It is a fast growing community and many people like it there. Also, north of Pueblo by the University new housing is going up and many people seem to like it there.

Whazzup, Mustangsally?! If there were 50,000 more Josseppies around, we might have something.
What you complain of is exactly what I've been complaining about with Pueblo since we dropped the ball on the WalMart Distribution Center!
Pueblo is enough of the basterd child on the Front Range to Denver and Colorado Springs that it shouldn't have to go out of it's way to thwart the possibility of a little bit of growth and more importantly, J.O.B.S. (4 letter word around these parts)
No, what Pueblo is famous for is Gov'mint cheese, wheel chairs, walkers, and canes.
Thank you Pueblo County Commissioners. Thank you for everything. Ohhh, I think I have a sore neck.

Puebloan may be considered for high court!
How kewl would this be for Pueblo to have one of our own on the supreme court!
"DENVER - A new Hispanic judge who grew up in modest circumstances in Southern Colorado said Monday she has been approached by White House intermediaries about being considered to fill a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court."

Kayak course in Pueblo
I have talked about the kayak course in Pueblo on the Arkansas River. Here are some pictures of it as it runs by downtown!
This is the historic train depot and the mural that runs along the kayak course in Pueblo. The mural is in the Gunnies book of world records as the longest mural in the world!

I didn't get over to the Wild Wild West Fest as I had prior commitments, but I'd been hoping to see some pics of it.
I found some from the Chieftain here.

2009 Wild Wild West Fest in Pueblo
First by the numbers:
5 days of Wild Wild West Fest
26 states from which people purchased tickets for bull-riding events at the Colorado State Fair Events Center
70,000 total estimated festival attendance Downtown
56 million in audience who watched Wild Wild West bull-riding events on TV
12-16 dates in May 2010 for the second Wild Wild West Fest
(source the Pueblo Chieftain)
The main fest! Sorry about the quality of the picture.
The parade! I was in it....
The fest at night by the PBR building!
The Colorado State Fair Events Center! Where Lonestar played and the PBR had their main event!
The PBR main event!
The PBR main event!
The fest in downtown
Josseppie's Editorial:
Overall, I liked the event as it was a great boost to Pueblo's economy and downtown. The one area that needs improvement is the concert. It should be on Friday and possibly in downtown. The one drawback to that is Memorial Hall, where they would have the concert, only holds 2,700 people so that does not give much room for growth. So they might have no choice but to have the concert at the events center where they could fit thousands more and it could grow with the event.
One possibility with the Events Center is to have the PBR help pay to expand it then give them free or reduced rent and name the event center after them, the PBR Event Center. It could easily be expanded to hold 15,000 to 20,000 people for a event that does not have floor seating and 20,000 to 25,000 for a event that can utilize floor seating. That would be a win-win situation as the state fair would have a larger event center and the PBR has a place big enough for their event. It would be a feather in Pueblo's cap as well as not many indoor faculties in Colorado can hold up to 25,000 people for a concert!

State questions April employment report
See I told you Pueblo was growing fast!
Did someone open another steel mill in Pueblo and not tell anyone?
Pueblo reportedly added 762 jobs and its unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 percent from 9 percent; and Colorado added 24,000 jobs and its jobless rate dropped to 7.4 percent from 7.5 percent.
An addition of 760 jobs would top Pueblo's total annual job gains in five of the last eight years.
