Default Another solar provider eyes empty depot land

This is great news for the Pueblo region and should help us come out of the current recession.

"Another potential solar energy provider is eyeing the Pueblo Chemical Depot’s sprawling acreage and proximity to power lines."

Talking Downtown Pueblo

I was in downtown last night, well I am in downtown everyday, but decided to take some pictures and post them today.

These are the townhouses on the Riverwalk. The one for sale is $460,000.

This is where they want to build the new town houses, I was told the devloper is from Denver. Also the building shown there is a power plant, as Pueblo gets more of them east of town I would like to see this turned into condos and re-tail space.

Work continues on the new 4 story building in downtown

I took this shot from empty land infront of the town houses. I was told that a devloper wants to build a office building there, personally I would like to see some kind of park or fountain but a nice building would be kewl as well.....

This is one of the historic buildings they are fixing up. Pueblo has so many of them and I am glad to see devlopers put money into them.

For my final picture this is a night view of the historic Vail Hotel.

The Pueblo Board of Water Works invited me to go on a 2 day trip in July to see where and how Pueblo gets our water. It is July 15 and July 16. I will go and take notes and take pictures and report back here what I find. As soon as I get the itinerary I will post it so you guys know where I will be, for now all I know is that it starts in Leadville.

Talking Downtown Pueblo

I decided to post pictures of two lots that are the center piece of the part of downtown Pueblo that has been re-zoned to B-4. As soon as the economy picks up I hope to see some kind of highrises built here.

This is where they are going to put the state and federal courts. Also, once they complete the 4th street bridge they will make 4th street one way going west and 5 th street, that goes in the middle of this property, will go east. This will allow them to make the roads 3 lanes and give more room for parking and sidewalks.

This property sits across from the proposed state and federal court buildings and is, in my opinion, the biggest eye sore in downtown Pueblo. This is, also, in the heart of the zoning change and I think where the 23 story highrises would go when the economy picks up. If I am right this will be a great before shot because you know as soon as Pueblo gets our first highrise, over 20 stories, I will be posting daily updates on its construction progress! Hell I might even do up dates twice a day at times lol

Question LED Street Lights Project of Pueblo

Very Dispointed of the city to pick this model of LED Street Light!

They look duck heads to me!

My pick for city's led street light and they able fit led light fixture in this classic street light!

Very easy to fit into modern street light.
