This is the DA building in downtown Pueblo. Not the biggest project, the cost is only $500,000, but it sure was a ugly building before and at least now it presentable. I would still prefer a highrise though!

I know these are not the biggest projects but its nice to see small and mid size projects start back up again. Hopefully this means the economy is recovering and before long we will have some larger projects breaking ground.

This is a new senior living building being built on the north side of Pueblo. You can see the crane from miles away.

These are two smaller projects on Pueblo Blvd, our loop.

Default Largest commercial solar array in Southern Colorado

This is good news for Pueblo, I hope to see this cause more companies to move in.

The article:

They are dedicated to becoming a local Pueblo solar company, by hiring local people. Vibrant has contracted Abel Engineering Professionals for structural engineering and two local firms are in line for electrical work.

Talking House approves national cemetery bill again

Good news, I hope the senate passes it this time and president Obama signs it that way we can finally have a national cemetery here. This was in today's Pueblo Chieftain:

Lawmakers hope to locate national cemetery between Pueblo and Colorado Springs.

For the second time, U.S. House lawmakers have approved establishing a third national cemetery in Colorado, to be located in Southern Colorado.

This is the Rosemount museum in downtown Pueblo. As a side note I had my college graduation party here in 1996, was a nice atmosphere.

Here is the history behind it:

Built in 1893, this 37-room mansion was home to the John A. and Margaret Thatcher family and named for Mrs. Thatcher's favorite flower. It remained a family residence for 75 years. Designed by noted New York architect Henry Hudson Holly and two years under construction, the mansion was completed in 1893. Nearly all furnishings, accessories, decorative arts, paintings custom paneling, wall and window treatments are original to the home.

See why Rosemount has been called "Colorado's Crown Jewel," and why it was selected for showing on the A & E cable network's nationally televised America's Castles and the HGTV Series Christmas Castles.

How bad are the bugs? I saw someone mention that there are a lot of roaches in Pueblo. Lots of scorpions and suck as well?

Bugs are not bad at all as the winter season kills them off.
