Question Rentals in Durango?

Hi guys!
My husband starts his new job April 1st! Now we just have to sell our house here in ABQ. If our house doesnt sell, he'll have to go up by himself for awhile. Does anyone know of any studio apartments (cheap!) that'll put him up w/ a month to month lease? We're also looking at weekly rates at some hotels, that may work. Im also in the process of finding a rental home for all of us until we find a place to buy. If anyone knows of a property that will be available in April, let me know. The catch is we have 2 med size mutts (8yrs old, mellow dogs). It would also have to be a month to month rental. Thanks!

Congratulations on your husbands new job! I would keep looking in the Durango Herald www.durangoherald.com as they often will post apartment listings in there, everyday news ones come and go. Up near Fort Lewis are a lot of apartments and when the college lets out many kids leave out, so apartments open up alot more. So if you dont find one in April, you might just use a motel for a month or so until the apartments open up in May. I wish you good luck!

Congratulations! I second all of what ILUVNM said, she's so good!

I'm gonna send a PM with info about local businesses that might be helpful for the short term for your husband - just don't want it to look like advertising on this site. (hope thats ok ) [Mod says: sending anything in a PM is O-K!]

Well, I checked out all of those choices & we finally found a place on E. 5th Ave in downtown. He will accept our dogs & will do a month to month. Great info, it really helped Dgoboy!
I have to stay back to sell our house here, it's so frusterating. The market here is very slow, so we'll be paying double for a few months. My husband will be out there the end of March to start his job & start getting plugged in.
We're totally stoked. Thanks again for all your (Dgoboy & ILUVNM) info. You guys should look into tourism
