Can anyone help where can we live in Colorado?
Hello,
My husband and I are in our late 30's, no kids. We've been living at California for a while (my husband is Texan and I'm Brazilian) and we want to move from here...this year...you know that say, "leave before you get soft"...well, the real thing we don't get much house for the money here. We think Colorado has a lot we could enjoy and the house's price are better than here (we were thinking expend 300k to 500k). We would love a house with view but it's not so important. We do snowboarding, biking, hiking, fishing...we love to make friends, movies, restaurants and bars. We were thinking to live in one of the towns/cities between Boulder and Denver. We are up to drive 30 minutes or so to sky resorts. My husband is in a biotech business and I will be looking for any adm/computer support office. Please let me know if I am missing some information to help you to help me... .
Thank you very much! Any help we appreciatte...

I recently went on vacation to Crested Butte to snowboard. I have to say it is beautiful up there, and I would look around that area, specifically in Gunnison (Spelling?)

There are some great towns between Boulder and Denver (Broomfield, Lafayette, Superior ...), with good access to Boulder or Denver, plus a great bus system (and maybe lightrail one day).
Relative to other areas, there are quite a few tech jobs in the Interlocken area (next to FlatIron Crossing mall in Broomfield) and Boulder.
As for ski resorts, none will be only 30 minutes away. Eldora would be just under an hour. Loveland would be just over an hour. And then you'd have your pick of the litter by going 1.5-2 hours (Copper, Winter Park, Breckenridge, A-Basin, Keystone...) ... and Vail just over 2 hours.

You'll have lot's to choose from in the area around Broomfield. There is an older part of Broomfield and there are some newer parts, but depending where you work in that area, you'll have plenty to choose from, as the other person mentioned. If your husband gets a job in the Tech Center, then you may want to check out Highlands Ranch, South Suburban, or Ken Caryl Ranch (there's pics of KC in one of my albums because it's where I live). Good luck.
