Default Paramedic wanting to move to CO from TX

I am a 23 year old Paramedic and looking for a young social scene to live around, but also would like to live close to a ski resort somewhere because I would like to do Ski Patrol as well as work as a Paramedic on the ambulance, but do not want to have to pay super high prices for rent in a apt. Ive read a little about Boulder.......how close is it to any ski resorts, it sounded like a cool place to live. If there is anyone out there that can help me out in finding a town that has a little bit of that it would be mighty wide of ya.

-ready to trade the east tx piney woods for the co mountains

I think by definition ski areas have "super high prices" and boulder is more expensive than other plains cities.

Loveland might be worth looking into.

The only ski resort Boulder is close to is Eldora. You are closer to the rest of them if you live near I-70. OTOH, I don't think Boulder is excessively expensive.

You can check out the southwest Co area (Durango, Pagosa, Cortez, etc). Durango Mt resort, Silverton Mt (extreme), and Wolf Creek (most snow in CO) all nearby...EMS systems in the area are Durango Fire (hardest to bust into but biggest), Cortez (via SW Memorial Hosp), Pagosa Springs, Upper Pine (Bayfield), Los Pinos (Ignacio) and across the border to New Mexico is Farmington (via San Juan Regional Hosp)... good luck!
