The Manning School??? (Golden, Applewood: middle school, college, teachers)

Hi everyone!

Manning Middle School is an option school in Applewood (Golden). I am considering sending my son there, instead of regular district middle school, and I'd like to hear from anyone who has had a child attend Manning.

I'm just wondering what your experience was: what did you like about the school, or dislike? How did you find the overall experience: academic, social, etc.? Did you feel like your child was well-prepared for high school, not only academically but socially as well?

Hi, I attended the Manning Option School for two years, currently a sophomore in college. It is a great school. All the teachers genuinely cared about their students. It is definatly a school where you are held to a higher standard. Lots of hands on learning. Teachers challenged their students and expected them to rise to the occasion. I left Manning with a really solid base of skills. Ended up attending a private prep h.s, took several ap classes as a freshman and remember doing alot of the stuff i was doing in 7th grade at Manning.
