Hold down your "Alt" key and simultaneously key "0176" on your numeric keypad ("NumLock" must be on). Like this: .

It worked, but I held the Alt key and pressed 0176 in order and then let go to get it.

Is there an area near pueblo where my wife and i can buy a few acres inexpensively, to hobby farm, so i can travel and work in Pueblo ? We will need clean air, water and scenery, we love wildlife, but i still need to work for a few years till i fall apart!

Thank you all for the help to choose a place, but the decision went to Pueblo. i guess there is no need to continue this thread as its purpose was to choose between Canon City/Pueblo. i don't know how to close this thread maybe moderator can do it? but to see what I'm struggling with now, read my new forum Convincing the wife. Once again a BIG THANKS to all for helping me.
The End.

Having had two tours of duty here as a Mod, there is no need to close it. Another person may come along with the same basic issue to be decided and ask a different question. We like to keep info accessible and we dislike multiple threads on the same topics.

Hi! My husband want to move to Colorado within the next year. We are hoping to find a small friendly town with a quality, safe, school in which we can raise our 6 year old daughter. He will be looking to get on the police dep. and we have great interest in a good church family. We love the outdoors and I'm encouraged by the conversation above with j96g as he's already asked a lot of my quesitons. thnx
My other questions are, is the town growing? Is this a place we could live for many years and enjoy the family friendly environment but not face rising crime, huge growth, or too few jobs? Is it somewhere you could see a family moving just to have a more peaceful way of life. We are presently in a metropolis in the deep south. I visited Canon City 10 years ago and fell in love with the little town.
Any thoughts?

A hidden gem in Windows is a utility called Character Map which will let you use all those odd characters with couple of clicks:
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type charmap
4. Click OK
5. Select the character you want
6. Click Copy
7. Paste it anywhere you want by either right-click > paste or CTRL + v

In the summer, we have a small lawn and sprinkler system to try to keep it green. I don't let the water bill get over 40 bucks a month in the summer.

My dad, Mr. McGowdog Sr. claims he doesn't drink water. He says that fish do the nasty in that stuff.
:shock ed:
