Default Please review this before moving to Colorado

FYI ONLY: I came across this in another forum but thought I would post it seeing that a lot of people are interested in moving to Colorado, including my family. I have always experienced when politicians dismay a rumor it means it is very likely to happen.

The Florence Supermax prison would be a good choice for some of these guys. It's supposed to hold the worst of the worst after all.

If our expensive prisons are so completely useless that they can't hold anyone with evil intent, I think we need to ask ourselves why this is the case. We should be able to build prisons that can hold anyone. We should have the courts, medical, etc located within the prison complex, there should be no reason that a prisoner should ever leave the security of that prison at any time.

These guys are human beings. They have no special magical powers. We have good old American prisoners that make these terror suspects look like children. In fact, the biggest worry I have is that the American prisoners will kill all the terror suspects before they ever have a trial.

So? Seems a logical place to consider putting them. And if it means more jobs and secure future for those working in the DOC in Florence and Canon, more power to them.

This could be a gold mine for Colorado. There's really no other logical place for those prisoners other than the Supermax. At minimum there's going to be many millions spent in Florence, pumping up their economy. If Governor Ritter plays his cards right, he should be able to demand (and get) plenty of federal money and favors showered on Colorado in exchange for taking the prisoners. Much of that could directly impact Colorado Springs.

I would like to see other "gold mine" ventures in Colorado. I would hate to see COS become a target for terrorists.

If one of those fully bearded goofy looking dudes EVER gets loose from the supermax, the local heavily-armed residents will pump soooooo much lead into his sorry ass that he'll look like swiss cheese. I have it on good authority that McGowDog will be first to fire with twin 50's.....
