I would go to the Thrift shop and pick up some old parachute pants to go skiing in.lol, Might as well laugh while having fun right. I have even seen some of those old school one piece ski suits at the thrift shop.

Yes, indeed, McGoddog ....

I understand your "backbone" all too well.

I even respect your personal decision to ski with jeans, although I do think it foolish ... having been there on the slopes as a beginner in wet, frozen, saturated clothes.

And I do mean "on the slopes" in the literal meaning of the words, as I spent over 1/2 of my day in contact with the snow as I fell many times in my first days.

But you still haven't explained how your superior talent and athletic ability while wearing jeans upon the slopes graces the OP with a informed answer to his ski clothing question. Surely one with all of your superior intellect, athletic ability, thorough understanding of the adventure upon which the beginners are about to embark for their family ski trip would be able to tell us all in a manner that would have us looking forward to your every word on the subject.

One time my brother and his friends from the DC Diving School went up to Mnt Rainer in Washington and they didn't have enough money for ski suits or skis or anything.

My brother did his commercial dive training out there in Seattle and he was trained by a bunch of half-crazed Navy Seals and these guys just had no boundaries.

Well anyways, they went up to some ski place wearing nothing but their wet suits and slid down the mountain that way. He said he felt like a 250 pound seal on ice!

So... there are many ways to get creative and save a buck. The more I think of it, the more I think I'm stickin' to my Levis and my 205s.

Gee, Sunsprit. Thank you. Slow day at work or something? I've got an old car that needs some work. Would you like to earn a few bucks on the side? You know, sarcasm IS the lowest form of wit, so I have a hard time taking light the 4 times now, that you've tried to trim me. Would you like to DM me so you can get something off your chest?

I noticed your McGOD Dog ....
I like him,....he's great! Play nice!!
It's not like everyone HAS to be perfectly on subject without any humor or personal stories! GEEZ!! We ALL do that!!

To the OP....Coloradoans are very laid back and funny (the ones I know anyway) You'll have fun, fun, fun,.....If I wore jeans skiing...I'd have to have tons of water-proofing on them (like for tents) cuz' I'd be on my fandola the whole way down!!!YEP!!

For years, I was in Vail every other weekend (custody thing)......I was the one filming everyone skiing ...

try the rental places around the ski resort and not just in the ski resort you should be able to find better deals. And now that I see you live in a warmer climate so i guess you probably don't have much snow to play in, I forgot to tell you in my last post that you might actually might have a ski place in your town where you are able to rent stuff. Look it up in the phonebook and give it a try.
