My husband and I are interested in possibly relocating to Colorado. I'm originally born and raised in New Jersey and have been living in Central Florida for 10 years. I left NJ because of the high cost of living, especially the taxes. Florida is nice but I really do miss the 4 seasons and the snow. I'm planning to take a trip to Colorado within about 6 months. I have read a few responses in the forum that said alot of people from Colorado do not take too well to newcomers that come from the northeast. Does anyone know this to be true ? It's made me alittle nervous to think it could possibly be that way in general. I was possibly considering visiting Colorado Springs, Fort Collins or the Denver area. Would appreciate any input. Thanks.

We moved to Louisville near Boulder last June. Previously I have lived in NY,MI,TX and LA. I have never seen nicer people anywhere. I work in Denver and it's a great city. Boulder is wonderful as well. I think you will love the Colorado way of life. Remember, you will always hear more negative than positive news online.

True, from personal experience. Although one on one, they tend to be a little nicer.

I lived there for 5 years. The locals do have a problem. But they are the minority! Colorado is a huge melting pot these days! Go to any bar/restaraunt/sports event/ect,,,, and maybe 10% of the people are natives!
I lived in Louisville also. Owl drive, (the town homes rite in back of the Rec Center on Via Appia) I miss it alot! Miss Boulder, and miss Telluride most of all!
The people make all the difference in the world, thats why its a great place to live!
