We are hoping to move to Colorado Springs as soon as possible (hoping for this summer if we can get things sold before next school year).
We want out of the desert! We want four seasons! However, I'm starting to wonder if Colorado only has three seasons, just opposite from the desert. lol
Here, our four seasons consist of Fall, Spring, Summer and HELL. I'm thinking Colorado may not actually have summer, only Fall, Spring and Winter. I CAN LIVE WITH THAT!
Edit: As far as why we're choosing Colorado Springs...It seems CS is where we can find more of what we're looking for in terms of real estate etc. Hopefully we'll be there in March to check it out and make a final decision.

Would like to find a place in the frontrange, west of Denver, by Fall. Been gone too long, miss everything & everybody. Moving back will be much harder to organize than moving here. Our economy has done pretty good, so we're hoping for a quick sale. Hey,'550, If you like sun, you won't care what time of the year it is in Colorado! Last year we only saw 3 full days of sun & about 2 partly cloudy. We're on the coast, hardly get's above 65. The Interior has more sun but you pay for it in Mosquitoes(whine

LOL, I don't mind the sun, I just don't like the temps in the 120's. I know Colorado's colder weather is going to take some getting used to, but it will be worth it!

Sounds like where my parents lived in Pahrump, NV. If it's too hot to be outdoors, I don't want to be there. You can always add layers in CO. to be comfortable.

Wrong. The Front Range definitely has a summer. Colorado Springs is a little bit cooler than Denver, but still expect to see frequent days in the 90's with blazing sun. It will get very hot. The grass will dry up. Only difference is the worst summer days on the Front Range are about equivalent to an average day in May or September in the lower elevation desert southwest.
Colorado's Front Range has three seasons: Summer, Winter, and Pseudo-winter. Not much in the way of a well defined spring or fall.

Pretty soon you'll be out in jeans and a t-shirt throwing snowballs on a sunny day in the 50's-60's in the middle of winter!
Who are our other newcomers? Looks like we've had 6 voters so far.

I'm moving to Denver/Boulder in May from Madison, WI.
I grew up in Morrison, and come back every year to ski. I've been talking about moving back for A DECADE. And now I have the money, the means, and a temp job that ends in a few months.
I'm really excited to finally make this happen after so many years of talking about it.
Now for a job...

I voted Denver. Expect to move this summer from the Phila area. Hopefully, I'll be able to sell my house...

So far the poll it turning out somewhat as I expected. Mostly Denver but Colorado Springs also high in part due to regular Military influx.
Colorado Springs is one of those assignments that everyone in the military seems to want!
