This is something I heard too that might be of interest:

Anyone know what's happening along Pueblo Boulevard? I hear a broker in Denver said their firm is exclusively representing a LARGE national development firm that is looking to build an auxiliary medical campus somewhere in south Pueblo along the boulevard. They would not divulge anymore than that because of CA agreements, however, I hear this firm does some pretty huge deals so I am curious if any of you guys have heard anything. Sounds like they want to be near St Mary Corwin?

Just to clarify one little thing. Boulder is a college town, home to the University of Colorado. It is not a "resort" town. But it IS expensive. Now back to your regular programming...

I loved going to Magic Mountain as a kid. I was one of the first 100 or something like that to ride the Revolution. This, of course, ages me. But since 2003, I've been hitting the Torrance area and Mojave area and points in between for ESD installations. The bulk of what we do out in the field is floor installations and ESD testing/certifications.

I would have thought the reference to Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works in the Valencia-Santa Clarita area would have been a clue that I've been in the area and that business that makes hearing aids might have been a place you've heard of... as a recent and current company there. We actually stay in that area or Castaic while doing work there. We've also done extensive work at Edwards and other NASA Flight Research centers there on the base and in Mojave proper. So we've had the opportunity to see the growth in Lancaster and Palmdale as well. In fact, Palmdale grew from about 10,000 when we lived in the Valley in the later 70s to bigger than Pueblo as of late! We used to head across Pearblossom when we went to see my uncle in Apple Valley. I remember seeing Trigger every time we went there! Now the statued critter is in Branson Missouri! Anywho...

I am impressed by those steep canyons and beautiful terrain of that area, but it disgusts me to see all those people crammed up in there. Lots of green lawns and those Italian Cypress trees and stuff looks nice. But all those people! If this was Europe, that would be about 3 different countries, that state of California! I guess that's why they call it a Republic. Keep in mind that the only other Republic in the USof A is Texas. Those are like two stand alone countries right there. So I hope there's something in Colorado that you will like.

I look at it this way; if you have the money and you're young, there may be parts of the Front Range appealing to you. Regardless of what Josseppie says, the Front Range starts at about MM 135 or South Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs and goes to about Fort Collins.

Pueblo is down here on the Reservation. It's like Bakersfield, but 1/4th the size and without all the glitter. Oh, and jobs are scarce, as usual. It's actually cleaner than its California counterpart. Oh, and it has the best of two things I value the most; water and air.

The plot thickens. Hopefully some of the real estate people in here will see this and help you with that. Not a business I would envy. I just saw something on Nightline last night about $250,000 + homes in Maricopa County Arizona area sitting vacant with a price tag of 95 gr and falling! Ouch! Car Salesman is another field I don't envy.

Good Luck With That!

I am not in the business but I think your best bet would be Colorado Springs or Pueblo with Fort Carson doubling in size by 2011. In fact our region is suppose to have a comeback in the housing industry due to that sooner then other areas.

I don't know the Springs but I talked to developers of major projects in Pueblo and they are still on track to start this year and I would imagine the Springs is the same way.

Here is one:

"Seranto - A 1,100-acre mixed use development straddling I-25 on the north side of Pueblo. Development plans call for a new interchange on I-25, which would become the terminus of Pueblo Blvd, extending Pueblo Blvd. to a full loop by-pass of I-25. The commercial area surrounding the new interchange will feature the best new life-style retail center site along the Colorado front range. Other commercial sites will be available for neighborhood shopping, office parks, and research and development facilities. The residential areas will feature covenant controlled communities with thematic architecture and a full amenity package, including finished parks with ponds and water features, a community pool, a club house, a K-8 school site, and extensive trails with links to the Fountain Creek Open Space."

I just found out that they want to break ground as soon as 4th quarter this year if the re zoning goes as planned if not 1st quarter next year....

In the cities of Denver, Castle Rock, Boulder, would I be close to Skiing, etc. Probably a stupid question but I do not know the area at all.

And within These cities what are some good areas, I know that there has to be some prestigous areas and some run down areas, but what areas are going to have good schools, with good night life if I get the desire to go out.

If you post in the Denver forum area you will get much more response from Denver residents as well as large responses from Castle Rock residents.
