Would you like to live in New York City (Question for Colorado Residents ages 18-34)?
If you are between 18 and 34 years old, let us know if you would like to live in New York City. I recently saw a statistic that stated 45% of Americans between the age 18 and 34 would like to live in New York City - seemed like that percentage might be off a bit.

I am 35 so I am off by a year but I will answer the question. When I was in grad school I looked into the area for school but decided on San Diego instead, I went to USD. I like NYC and love to visit there about once a year to see the Broadway shows and eat at the great restaurants and visit the "gay" scene but as far as living there no thanks. I am a city boi but I have found that I like cities from about Pueblo's size to the Springs size, they are much more fun to watch grow, and I like being able to drive to Denver when I want to see plays and go out for a night but return back home. Plus I like living by the Mountains so I can go up and ski and just relax, why I want a cabin there some day, hopefully in Salida. So I like NYC but I think overall Colorado has more to offer, at least for me.

I used to work in NYC, and lived on Long Island. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. What the tax and spenders have done to that state is a disgrace.

I grew up in Pennsylvania and had no interest in relocating to NY *or* DC, which is where most of my classmates ended up.

NY might be fun... if, say Donald Trump wanted me to house-sit one of his penthouses. Barring that, I think I'm a bit priced out of NY.

You're a "city boy"? Pueblo and Colorado Springs are really 'towns' as opposed to actual 'cities'. Now Denver is an actual city, but the other 2?

No way in heck would I ever want to live in New York City. Not even the suburbs of that city. If I had to choose between the megacities of the US, between east and west coast, I'd rather live in LA than NYC. The only city on the east coast I would think about living in is DC.

If there were jobs in my field in NYC, I'd move there in a heartbeat.
