Everyone says that. Thankfully, there isn't work and everyone doesn't move there or SW Colo. in general, or it would be the hellhole that the front range is becoming.

When considering distances between places in Colorado you must also consider terrain? Durango is in an arid mountain region. Getting to Denver or the Front Range involves crossing a major barrier--the Rocky Mountains. If passes are closed due to snow or fire, detours can be 100's of miles.

Also the Front Range ( anything along I 25) has become over developed and congested.
