Default Former Fort Morgan City Manager Michael Nagy

Can anyone give me any info on Michael Nagy, the former city manager of Fort Morgan? Why was he terminated by City Council and then later allowed to resign? Does anyone know anything about him moving to Michigan; where in Michigan and why did he move there?

Michael Nagy returned to Marine City MI. He resides on West Blvd. He was city manager of Marine City before accepting the job in Ft Morgan. He moved back into the house he lived in (I assume he owns) which remained unsold during his short tenure in Ft Morgan. As to why, I have no knowledge but assume the house figures into the equation. He left Marine City in the midst of turmoil and the mayor/city commissioners that supported him have been recalled, voted out of office or resigned.

Can you elaborate on, "He left Marine City in the midst of turmoil"?

I don't know anything about Mr. Nagy or circumstances at either end, but Ft. Morgan is a small town in the plains of Colorado about an hour or more from anywhere else. In three seasons it's pretty brown and windy, it can be beautiful in the spring and at other times. It has a sugar beet mill, several pretty good restaurants, and just about anything else essential. It does not have too many trees. I think it would be a pretty hard adjustment from Michigan and most of my family came from Ohio and Michigan. Given current financial circumstances everywhere I would keep my house if I moved for a job and I would expect it to take quite a while to sell a house and one local government board or council is much like the rest--difficult at best to be bossed around by a group who disagrees.

Alsguitars, are you still looking for information on Mike Nagy? Mike Nagy came to Michigan from Pioneer Ohio first. He almost destroyed that community and was going to be fired before the idiots from Marine City hired him. He then ruined Marine City, you can find articles on him in the Times Herald Newspaper of Port Huron. Then he went to Fort Morgan and if you search the Fort Morgan Times you can find out why he was fired. Both papers have articles. This guy is a nut case and very bad for any community who hires him in my opinion.
