Question Being Recruited to DOVE CREEK, info seeking!????

I am wanting to hear the GOOD and BAD (some already identified) of Dove Creek and the surrounding area. I am in the medical field and being recruited to this area. I have resided in Kansas (rural), NYC-Manhattan , Texas (rural) and Indiana (rural).
ANY comments would be appreciated!

Dove creek is a very small town, almost small enough to miss
if you blink.

Its a nice area, and very rural. Cortez would be your
closest(maybe 15miles away) "city" if you can call it that,
Cortez has a Walmart, and thats about it for big box shopping.
So I suppose if the pay was good enough, and you wanted a nice simple
lifestyle Dove Creek would be the place, it a large farming community.

Other pluses, you are less than 3 hrs away from MOAB utah,

Ditto info re very small town. Think gas station, cafe, realtor, and truly not much else. Dove Creek is farming w/pinto beans the main crop. The area is high with incredible mtn views..clear and clean air.

Cortez is about a 40 min drive. It's clean with an updated downtown and nestled in a valley with three mtn ranges surrounding. Housing is relatively expensive, schools are good, population is mixture of natives, retirees, and transplants...interesting. This is small town w/ access to Durango, the arts, and the San Juan mtns in your backyard. Farmington, NM is an hour due S fr Cortez w/mall, theaters, San Juan Community College, 2 Wal Marts, Sam's...it's a service community serving the 4 Corners area.

Hope this helps! : )
