Colorado
Hello, I started a post or whatever you call it called Colorado??? I was not trying to be a smart aleck or rude. I remember what I remember about growing up there.I have lived all my adult life in MISSISSIPPI and proud of it. All I was trying to say was my family did not ski ,white water raft or any of that NONSENSE. I am a native but will not return... To live. I am sorry to offend but I miss the cowboy western way of life I grew up around. So call me a Troll whatever I doubt your famlily has as deep roots in COLORADO as mine.

First off you should live where you are most happy, that I think we can all agree on. Personally, I have only driven though Mississippi, seems like a nice state but not one for me.
Not sure how far your family roots go back, it could be father then mine, but my family dates back to the late 1800's in Pueblo. They have been involved in business ever since, in fact most people not only in the city but the state know of my name. I am not saying that to brag but to point out that you are not the only one with family roots in Colorado.
That being said if you want to come back to visit the cowboy western lifestyle I would suggest coming for the Wild West Fest in Pueblo. Here is some information:
The Professional Bull Riders, Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, HARP and the community of Pueblo will host the inaugural Wild Wild West Fest, May 13-17, 2009.
The western themed festival will feature events for the whole family ranging from concerts to cook-offs. The festival will culminate with the Ford F–150 Invitational Presented by Copenhagen Bull Riding event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17.
The Wild Wild West Fest will be held throughout the Pueblo community with the majority of the events centered on the Riverwalk and the Union Avenue Historic District. Events throughout the 5-day festival will be hosted by community non–profit organizations and the Wild Wild West Fest Committee. All money raised during this time will go directly back to all of the non–profits involved. Some of the events you can participate in include the Fan Zone, Ring of Honor ceremony and concert, parade, carnival rides, street vendors, team roping and barrel racing competitions, a fun run and walk, Mercado (Mexican Market), chuck wagon lunches, pancake breakfasts, a kayak rodeo, a horse shoe throwing contest and much more!
For more information on the Wild Wild West Fest visit us online at www.wildwildwestfest.com
