Full Time? Part Time? Freelance? Independently Wealthy? Multiple Jobs? Student? Retired? Unemployed? Which one fits you best (as obviously I can't list every option.)

Was just curious about the City-Data "demographic" in this respect for Colorado.

I sit in front of a computer 8 hrs a day during my full time job as a database programmer-analyst. After work I walk 5 miles on the local desert trails then head over to the gym for 30 minutes of lifting weights. When I leave the gym, I go home, have a beer, and sit on my butt in front of the TV for the remainder of the evening. This goes on day after endless day. This is OK, but for me the Colorado good life is limited to weekends, holidays, and vacations.

Oops. Sorry. Obviously I'm not a parent. If I could edit the poll I'd add that. Seems fairly legitimate to call that a Full Time job to me...or at the least Freelance. Besides, I didn't ask if the income and benefits were financial

I am an Independent Contractor, basically a project manager with a very limited authority (licensed) to practice law, as a real estate broker.

I work more than full time, only get paid for the successes, not the coming in 2nds, I have 2 kids living with me to support and another one with dad in another state.

I work from home full time and salaried paid by a company headquartered in CA. I pay CO state income tax, but I believe they pay CA state tax on me. Or something like that... not sure how it works..

Sometimes days go by before I realize I haven't left the house or ventured more than a tenth of a mile from it. it's great overall, but can get a little unsettling if I don;t make the effort to get out and be social outside of work.

I work full time as a GIS analyst. I work with maps and geographic data in a regional planning environment. I'm in downtown Denver most of the time, although I do work from home every now and then.

I'd eventually like to have my own consulting/contracting type of business so that location is a little less important and I could split my time between Denver, and say, Western Colorado or Montana if I wanted to.

I just graduated last month with a BS in geology and a minor in GIS. I was a GIS intern (when I was a student) with the BLM so I was employed recently. I'm just starting to look around for some type of employment.
