City - anything bigger than 300,000 people, wide variety of shopping, socializing, activities

Town - smaller, limited in activities and shopping.

Most of the people who live in GJ drive to Denver once or twice a month for shopping, so that tells you something. Also most of the people who live here say that it's limited in terms of activities.

This isn't to say GJ is "bad" because it isn't. Just saying it's not a "city."
