Hello everyone! I'm really thinking about moving my family to Denver or around Denver. (I'm talking next spring). Here's the nitty gritty...

-Looking for a kid friendly area (I have a 4 yr old)

-Where's the great public schools in your opinion at? (I've already visted http://www.cde.state.co.us)

-I'm going to be renting (want to stay around $1,000 per mo or less for a 2 bedroom)

-I'm a massage therapist... any pointers to is the best place to work for?

-My fiance does kitchen and bath design.... any company you'd recommend to work for?

-Why do you like Denver? (or surrounding area)

-What don't you like about this place?

Thank you all for taking the time to answer my question

Hey- it may be hard to find an area in Denver that you can afford. From what I understand the cost of living up there is more expensive. Colorado Springs, is a great area and may be more in your price range for renting. Are you wanting to rent an apartment or house? You could go to removed. If you are curious about some of the areas, just come back to the forum and see what everybody says about those areas. SHEP

I used to live in the Denver Metro Area for a while - but I moved away to a smaller town because I got tired of city life.

However, as far as city life goes, the Denver Metro Area is pretty good, for the most part.

Cherry Creek Public Schools (Southeast Denver) and Littleton Public Schools (Littleton) are both school districts in which I'd recommend living - they are known for the more excellent schools. I had very positive experiences in both districts with my children.

I don't recommend Denver Public Schools though.

Littleton is a pretty nice suburb in which to live. Englewood (parts of), Lakewood (parts of), Arvada, Westminster, and Broomfield are nice suburbs too, but I don't know anything about the school districts there.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck and Best Wishes,
TML

Winnie, hello. That topic has been answered numerous times in the Colorado Forum. Look at the list of threads, or search the colorado forum with the keyword "weather."

The weather in Colorado Springs is unpredictable. . However, there is probably 2-4 snow days a year. It definitely is a nicer winter then what you get in Wisconsin. For whatever reason, this year we are having a wet summer. Which is great, because we have been in a drought. I have lived here all my life and love the 4 seasons. Never too hot or too cold. SHEP
