Default Steamboat Springs seasonal work

Hi All,
My 2 roommates and I are considering moving to Steamboat for this winter's ski season. I have read other posts that say cost of living is high while income is low, yet we're still considering taking the risk. One of us (a male) has already secured a job, while two of us (attractive females) have not but have many years of bartending experience and are thinking that's the way to go. When is the best time to start looking and how likely is it that we'd be hired? Any specific info on good bars/restaurants and estimated tips would be immensely helpful and appreciated. Any help on sites or resources to find housing would be great too! Oh and is there public transportation?
Thanks in advance!

I found housing harder to find in Steamboat than other resorts in Vail or Summit County. I would secure your housing in the fall. You will probably find it easier to secure a year lease.

I would say if you are attractive females and are bartenders you will do very well with tips if you work it right. Ski resorts in Colorado have a dearth of young women so you'll have plenty of attention.

As we get into fall, I would definitely get busy with your job search.
