I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions on places to move to in Colorado. I want to move somewhere there is a good job market, low crime rate, and preferrable about 5,000 to 12,000 people and close to a city.

Talley, hello, hope you find your dream...

We don't really know enough about you to be able to recommend a place, so I suggest you start by looking in the "DATA side" of city-data, hit that link in far upper left corner of the screen that says city-data.com. It takes you to a listing of all states, click on Colorado, then you'll see that towns are listed by their population size, so take a look at a bunch of them as there are many to choose from.

None of us on this forum think you'll find much of a job market in a town of the size you want. Such towns are usually farm towns out on the eastern plains / prairie that make up almost 40% of the state. There are small towns up in the mountains, some very pricey, but not a lot of jobs. Out on the western side of the state there is a desert-like environment with some farming and orchard business, plus oil and gas well stuff.

Anyplace in the US that has a --good job market---would have a population of much more than 5,000-12,000 people due to everyone moving there in the last year.

I highly suggest you go through various sites like City-Data main and get an idea. Do some research please. It's at your finger tips

$40-$60 wont even get a month paid for basic utilities - water, gas, electric let alone a deposit on a mortgage...look it up please.
