Hi, just thought I would see how many people have moved from Oklahoma to Colorado. My wife and I want to move from Oklahoma City to Colorado Springs, and was interested in feedback from anybody who has made a similar move, positive or negative. Thanks!

Hey, I haven't been on here in awhile, so I just saw your post! We moved from OKC to Colorado Springs last May and we just love it! Our experience has been awesome. We've found a great church, met a lot of really friendly people, and can't get enough of the views! The summers are amazing with very low humidity (can you believe it??), and the winter has been about equal with Oklahoma's I think. More snow, but as far as temps go, some mild days, some really frigid spells. From what I understand, it can change dramatically, very quickly.....sound familiar?? Anyway, welcome! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

What are the differences in property taxes? If I could ask. I am thinking of selling a ranch in OK and moving either to Trinidad, CO or Pagosa Springs or even Chama, NM.

I know of a beautiful house in Pagosa Springs that is for sale...

My parents moved from OKC to Pagosa in 2000 and are now trying to return to OKC since the kids and grandkids are still here. I am betting the property taxes are quite a bit higher than in OK...

PM me if you are interested....

What kinds of things are you looking for in a city? Oklahoma City is roughly twice as large as Colorado Springs, but for the most part, I think Colorado Springs will have almost everything Oklahoma City will. For the things it doesn't, it's a short drive to Denver to make up the difference.

I think the scenery in Colorado Springs will blow you away. The city is literally at the base of Pike's Peak. It's a very impressive site. You can drive up the 24 into the mountains and be away from the city within minutes. Plus the Garden of the Gods, located within the city limits of Colorado Springs, is one of the most beautiful parks in the country.

I could go on, but it won't really matter until you come see for yourself. I hope you find what you are looking for!
