How is the climate there? A lot different than in CO?

Thanks for the respond
Depends on where you are. The Sierra Nevadas themselves get tons and tons of snow. But the central california coast which isn't too far away, is a semi-tropical climate. And San Francisco which isn't too far away, never gets any snow and has a fairly mild (although chilly) climate.

The Grass Valley - Nevada City area in the western Sierra foothills would be a really attractive place to live. I visited a friend in Nevada City this past May, and I really liked the area. There is more water there than in most parts of Colorado, so it's greener year round. Sacramento is about an hour to 90 minutes west on I-80.

Hi,

I'd like to thank you all for all wonderful comments, and adivces. I found them all very interesting and helpful. I'm planning to visit Colorado next May, and hopefully surrounded areas. I hope to find some more answers.

Thanks again,
Magda
