Doing a little research about some towns we are thinking of moving to and Elizabeth, CO is one of them. Can anyone tell me about the town itself? Are there many grocery stores, Doctor's offices, restaurants. I read it's about 45 miles to Denver but where is the closest hospital? I realize it's not a booming metropolis and is more of a farming/ag community and that is ok. The schools look to be good and score well on CSAP tests. So any information anyone can give me would be appreciated. We lived in Grand Junction for many years and miss Colorado like crazy (now living in Hawaii).
Thanks so much for anyone's help!

You'll probably drive to Parker for many retail opportunities. The closest hospital is in Parker.

Be sure to check out the source of water. Many communites in that area rely on ground water from the Denver Basin Aquifier, which is dropping fast and no one can determine how long it will last.

There is a fairly new Safeway and a Walmart in Elizabeth. My wife and I are considering a move there so that we can get more land. In driving through, there did not seem to be too many restaurants.

Parker is not too far of a drive for any other needs.
