Don't have any pics, but a friend of mine just dropped by for a visit. He left Cedar City, Utah, about 7 this morning-snowing. Got past Salina and Richfield east on 70, snowing a bit harder. Supposed to hit here in GJ around midnight. This one is liable to be nasty!

It'd be good for the ski resorts and help cushion the blow of a bad economy if the snow is good up at the resorts early in the year. That'll help convince people to stretch a bit to get up there.

When you have a double whammy like a bad snow winter in 2001-2002 and a bad economy it sucks.

I note that Hwy 82 is closed btw MM61-79 (Independence Pass) cutting the road link between Aspen and Buena Vista and Hwy 24.

Oh this is AWESOME!!! My wife and I are going to be at the November 9th Broncos-Steelers game - maybe we'll get in a day early and go to A-Basin or Loveland. We've made ski trips in Colorado since 1992 (when I was stationed at Lowry AFB) and I don't think the resorts have opened this early in a while - is that correct?

Our fave is Winter Park - but that's 21 days away from opening.

Please be safe driving on I-70/I-25 out there, folks!
