Denver Metro (and other points around Colorado's Front Range) temperature inversions. Though I never lived in Evergreen so I can't comment on the air quality there versus elsewhere on the Front Range.

I was in Evergreen on Monday for a closing. Nothing remarkable about the air then.

What has your feathers ruffled?

Nothing has my feathers ruffled, just asking. I have read that the overall air quality is not that good.

Interesting... where have you read that the air quality is bad in Evergreen? I agree that it could be bad air from Denver creeping up in an upslope or inversion. OR it could be smoke from fireplaces and woodburning stoves at certain times. However, I know several people who live there and never once have they complained about the air quality.

Sperling's is where lots of cranks post negative nonsense, take it with a BIG grain of salt. We end up refuting that stuff in these forums and proving wrong all those trollish comments posted on Sperlings. To be fair, the books put out by Sperlings are usually a real valuable asset. We used Sperling's "Cities Ranked and Rated" to search the nation for a great place to live and thanks to the data tables in that book, we ended up in Colorado Springs, a great place in many ways. But the comments posted on Sperling's website are often worthless.

I have never heard of anybody complain about the air quality in Evergreen.

This is a first for me. Do you have a link for those stats?

I would be surprised if they even had information about Evergreen itself and didn't throw it in with Denver.
