We are going to copper mountain in january. I plan on calling there soon but my days are too busy at work. So i'll ask here. Does anyone know the best place to get lift tickets? I know they are more at the mountain the day you ski. Also do kids need tickets? one is 3 and the other 5.

You used to be able to buy discounted lift tickets at some of the grocery stores in Denver. Check King Soopers, I know I would buy them there. Not sure about kids, but I imagine they need them. Probably a discounted ticket as well, but check their website for accurate information.

Are you staying @ Copper? You can usually get a discount with a lodging package. I just checked their website, there is a deal going on now but you have to book by 11/30:

3rd Night FREE lift/lodging and Kids Ski FREE
book 2 nights by Nov. 30 and the 3rd night is on us. This package includes at least one 3-day adult lift ticket. Also, youngins ski free, but it's up to you to bring them.
This package includes the Beeline Advantage; kids under 12 ski FREE with the purchase of every adult ticket.

King Soopers is the best place to get lift tickets solely.

If you go to the Warren Miller film for $20 you can get coupons for free regular season tickets. last year that included one free day pass to Copper and another half price or free after April 1. The coupons vary from year-to-year, so there's no guarantee it will be for copper, that's just a risk you have to take, but it does often include Copper, Steamboat, and others.
