I am not having a great deal of luck finding work. I am certain I could be using my time in a more effective way but I am not exactly sure how. When I wake up, I tend to look on the major job search engines such as craigslist, indeed, and monster, and I type a few keywords through each for positions I am seeking out, such as ‘data entry’ ‘word process’ and ’10 key.’ I apply for every new position that opens up, and I try to tailor my resume slightly for each position that is open. I document each position I apply for, and then I set to call them back in a week, or email them if no number is available. I have been doing this for a few weeks now. At this point, I am willing to have work doing just about anything though, I only plan on being out in Colorado Springs for a few months before moving to Denver.

Are you from out of state? That might be a factor. So it's only been a "few weeks"? That's just getting started, IMO. Now, after several months, it's more significant of an issue. This isn't a state for quick employment, unless you've got a fancy degree and steller work experience, or good connections on the inside. Best of luck though. And if you do end up compromising and take anything, welcome to the group!
