(The show, not the geographic location)

I was just wondering how many people out in Colorado are fans of the fictional cartoon, and whether you guys think it has done anything positive or been a total disservice to the impressions of Colorado amongst young people?

I too have wondered about the show. Once in a while I wonder if I should ask my Canadian friends what they think of it as they rip on them often.

I think it's comic gold for Colorado, personally. I love the details they get right, and they one's they intentionally get wrong. Just one more example of peculiar, Colorado influenced sense of humor.

it is dead on. I moved here 2.5 years ago and boy it is just like the show. yes, they exaggerate for humor, but we are now the token black family, etc. we are big fans of the show, have been since the beginning. the most recent episode, "Pee"? laughed my ass off.

I love the show too! I actually lived in Fairplay, CO which is located in S. Park, and it's basically where the show is based off of. The creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker would actually visit the town to come up with characters (not kidding)! I was once in Dano's Pizza (no longer there, thanks Pizza ****) and Matt Stone walked in with his wife/girlfriend. It's pretty funny when you recognize that the characters are loosely based off people that live in your town!

yup, its oddly similar. It best when they include CO specific humor, Casa Bonita, Jake Jabs, etc. Pretty hillarious.

Hah, I'm planning to go eat at Casa Bonita soon just for the posterity. Can't wait to see the cliffdivers!
