I'm an art director/senior designer looking to relocate to Colorado, from Tampa, Florida. We, my husband, husky and I are looking to get back to God's country and enjoy the outdoors. I can see beauty out my door in Colorado, I have to make time to enjoy the beach in Florida. Its lunacy and I'm tired of it.

My husband is originally from Arvada, but I am looking for some feedback on maybe some work leads, as well as good places to live.

We've been looking at Longmont, Loveland and Fort Collins. All beautiful, but I have no gauge on how far that is from Denver. As I may have to commute. I know to bring winter clothes, and snow tires...being raised in Chicago myself. I wanted to know where the best bang for our buck would be as we'll be renting off the bat, and it must be husky-friendly.

If anyone know of any job leads for creative folks...please let me know so I can throw my hat in the ring of applicants. Or just some good suggestions on how to make this happen sooner than later...till then

catch ya on the back bowl!

I hate to be a "wet blanket", but you will have to make time to enjoy the mountains in Colorado, too. A neighbor of mine interned with an advertising firm, doing graphic arts, and she worked all hours when a project was due.

Your husband should be able to give you an idea of how far the cities you are interested in are from Denver. Google maps will give you that information, too. A few people commute to Denver from Longmont, fewer still from Loveland and Ft. Collins.
