Hi, I moved from CO to NYC five years ago and I'm thinking about moving back however I have heard that Colorado has changed so much. So be4 I move back to God's Country can somebody please tell me what's going on in CO and how much it has changed. I hope CO's beauty isn't being destroyed. Let me know.

I suggest you take a visit and see for yourself.

Some things have changed. Some things have changed for the better. Some things have not changed for the better.

We have no idea where you lived and what specifically you are referring to.

I'd also suggest you stop being inflammatory. Just because someone says something, doesn't mean it's true.

I think it's changed. I lived in greenwood village and it used to be nice and quiet. Now the traffic is so bad in the mornings and evenings. Seems like a lot of people have moved to Colorado since I have been gone. highlands ranch . parker are packed with transplants and now it's just a sea of houses. It's really sad.

I'm referring to Denver, Aurora, Parker and Colorado Springs. How am I being inflammatory, r u even using the word right? The people I talk to live in those parts of Colorado so I'm sure they know what they're talking about since they live there. I'm on here to ask other people for their opinions and it doesn't matter what part of CO they are from. I would like to hear what they have to say regardless of my location before I moved.

I have lived here for so long now the change isn't always obvious to me. However, the last five years have seen a lot of recession, so aside from a few subdivisions going up, I don't think there's been a huge change. I can't think of any major public works buildings, or shopping malls, or whatnot, that have been built in the past five years.

Change is good. Colorado is better today then it was 10 or 20 years ago.

Josseppie is full of it. To him, endless new development is "progress." By that measure, Colorado would look great--just like overdeveloped California, Florida, etc.

To those of us who treasure Colorado's natural--not man-made--beauty, and its rich historical heritage, the road has been downhill for years and has really accelerated in decline in the past decade. To be sure, there are still some very nice places in Colorado, but they are all under assault from development, overuse, water grabs, and other man-made mischief. Too bad.

NYC, I wish you the best in your decision. FWIW, you were not being inflammatory.
People should be able to express their opinions on this forum without being attacked or criticized.
You being in NYC, it's not like you can just hop in your car and be here likidy split to check things out.
If you have any questions about Colorado, keep asking them, as there are alot of nice, helpful people on this forum.
