The San Francisco 49ers will play the Denver Broncos in London later this year, the NFL reveals.

This is horrible news to me. I am profoundly against NFL games played internationally, and while I am glad that the NFL commissioner is a disciplinarian, I cringe when I hear him speak of things like more games in a season, more games played internationally, and even the possibility of the Super Bowl being played in London at some point in the future!
Besides, I will be living just south of San Francisco later this year and was planning on going to this game. So much for that.

That might be interesting to go over and cheer my Broncos. I have an endless list of stuff I need to do and friends I should see in the UK. Whether the budget will allow it, we'll see.

I identify with between these two posts. Haven't been to Frisco in years, and I've never been overseas.

I wanna go to London!

Right now I don't have enough jack to go to Denver, and at least it's 55 there today and we finally had our first 32 degree day in over a month here-GRR!

And think of all the record stores in London I could go to and buy all sorts of cool original pressing Beatles and Stones albums (and Moody Blues, of course)

That's ok, I'll just stay here and chip away the ice from my driveway from the storm 5 weeks ago!

Well it shouldn't be hard for Broncos fans to get to London as last I checked(2007) British Airways flew direct from London.

Also I think you can connect on Air Canada via Toronto to London as well.

British Airways does fly direct to London from Denver. Flight costs for that weekend (on priceline) is running $888 at the moment.

Default N.F.L. boondoggle!

The home team fans are being ripped off! How many 49er fans are going to London that would have gone if they play this game in S.F.? Only the fat cats of the N.F.L. will be there along with a bunch of frustrated English Rugby fans! I predict Denver will win with the score being 2-0. However Bronco hoodie sales will be brisk at the game.
