Climate and terrain seem quite opposite.

Only similarities I can think of is that people are the same everywhere, wanting good schools, safe neighborhoods, and good eats.

Been both places...I do not feel there are similarities...Colorado is so much more scenic...South Carolina had it's beautiful old homes...but wasn't anything as far as miles and miles of gorgeous landscape...
