In the entire five years I worked in D.C., I had the unfortunate experience of working on contracts whose renewal was up every October. In each one of these cases, the Govt. kicked out the existing contractor and replaced them with a new company. I always rolled over with the new one but it was an annoying process because you never knew if you had a job until the Government people made it clear they wanted to keep you.

Do you know which federal contractors are best known in the area?
There's a big variety of large and small contractors. Some are well known, others are small operations local to the area.

Demand is really that high for people with clearance?
You better believe it.
