I have recently decided that I would like to move from my small town KY home, to a small town in Colorado. I have researched LCC and I really like its horse program. My questions are is there any place to rent a house or farm. I have a horse and I would like to have a place for her to stay near me, but if I can't have a farm is there any place to board? On that note, I was wanting to get a place so I could become a resident of Colorado. NOt only would this help when I go to a larger University, but I have always wanted to move away from home. SO if anyone with regards to the schol, community, housing, or a place to keep my horse, I would greatly appreciate it!

Lamar Ledger may be helpful to you. I would say that yes, there are places to rent in the town or perhaps property out in the county (Prowers/Bent). You might even look out in McClave/Wiley May Valley area.

The town of Lamar itself is a humble little Lower Arkansas Valley town of about 8 to 10k. The biggest little town in its immediate vicinity and at the crossing of Hwy 287 and Hwy 50.

I've got some pic tours in here somewhere.
