Arkansas River! Time for a road trip. Just got my fishing license the other day. "Here fish, fish, fish, fish!" "Here fish fish!

Been a few years since I've been over Cochetopa Pass, it's a nice alternative to Poncha Pass, when you are wanting to go to Monte Vista from my neck of the woods anyway.

Thanks McG! Great pics!

Awesome pix. McGowDog is like a basketball player: He "shoots!" He scores! (another 5 rep points).

Default Near Coaldale, CO in May 2003

While here on vacation in 2003 and driving around looking at the scenery after riding the Royal Gorge train, we found a field near Coaldale, CO with a mare and a foal (philly?). In one pix there was a deer in the background. But beware, there are bears in the woods!

Hey, what you looking at?

Mom and baby.

Sharing the field.

BEAR SIGHTING!

Next time you do that, turn off on CO-114 just east of Gunnison and go that way. It's a very scenic drive which misses the high mountain passes completely and comes out a Saguache, about 20 miles north of Monte Vista.

I used to go that way in a big truck, so it won't be bad for your car.
